trendspotting: baker’s twine

Today I wanted to touch on a fun trend in the scrapbooking/papercrafting world – baker’s twine!  It’s name is a bit misleading – you don’t even need to know how to use your oven to use it…which is a very good thing in my case! ;)   Here’s a roundup of some of the great brands of baker’s twine available now:

Divine Twine:

Doodlebug Design:

Jillibean Soup:

My Mind’s Eye:

October Afternoon:

Stampin’ Up!:

The Twinery:

We R Memory Keepers:

Close To My Heart:

Queen & Company:

Trendy Twine:

If you have a favorite brand, or know of a brand I missed, please feel free to share in the comment section (if you leave a link, I’ll try to add it to my list)!

Be sure to read through the comments to see the fun ideas and product suggestions from all of our readers!

Happy Monday! :)

A*Muse studios has lovely twine, in 280 yard spools. It’s enough to last me a good long time, especially since a little twine really does go a long way! Thanks for highlighting this fun trend!

    • Thanks for the heads-up, Cynthia! I’ll add it right now! :)

      • Cynthia, I can’t get the Maya Road site to load. :( I’ll try to add it later…but thanks for taking the time to link us up. :)

Wendy Sue, i went to the site and it didn’t come up but i put ‘twine’ in the search box and all their twine colors came up. Apparently the link has something missing but they do have a nice selection of colors.

I think it’s funny how we use to cook with it and now we craft with it and back then it only came in white :) but love all the new colours and they look beautiful on projects :)

I’ve tried them all but the one I like is Trendy Twine. It has a light color and dark color which is different from others. It is also 100% cotton which works better than other people’s polyester mixed twine. They have the most selection of colors and 20 more comming out sometime this summer.

  19. Currently it sounds like Expression Engine is the top blogging platform available right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you’re using on your blog?
