Whenever I think of Mother’s Day, I think of flowers and birds. I’m not sure if it’s because of all of the “mother bird” analogies, or if it’s because my own mother has always loved birds. Whatever the reason, I think birds are a great accent for Mother’s day pages, cards, and paper projects. I wanted to share just a few of the bird-themed products available right now:

Happy March! I adore this month. It means that warm weather is not far away. (Hopefully Utah’s normally crazy weather will cooperate this year. No more snow, please!) I was craving a little spring in my “spotting” time today, and you didn’t disappoint. I found darling bird cards everywhere.
Next week, I will be “Blog Spotting” for cards with Rainbows. (Literal rainbows or rainbow color schemes.)
Leave your blog’s url in the comments or tweet to us (@cardsmag) on twitter if you’d like me to check out your cards.
And now, on to my four favorite finds this week:
1. Kara’s card is too cute. Those little felt birds make me smile! I love the music notes, which make me think of birds chirping through open windows on warm spring mornings. (Seriously craving spring over here…)
2. Sarah Martina’s card is so beautiful. I adore the postcard stamp bird which coordinated perfectly with her beautiful paper choice.
3. Jessica’s card is on of my favorites. I often lean towards clean, simple card styles and I’m loving this one. The faux stitching and that darling bird make me happy.
4. Mariana’s card is breathtaking. I love the burlap and that awesome pelican! Also loving the pop of magenta on the otherwise earth-toned card. Fabulous, fabulous.
And, because I just couldn’t narrow it down to four, I picked four honorable mentions:
Check these card makers out: Jaclyn, Laura, Karin, and Savannah.
Thanks for the inspiration! Feel free to add the blog spotting button to you blog:
I’d love to “Blog Spot” you! Please leave your blog’s url in the comment section of this post. I will subscribe to your blog and be sure to check you out when I am surfing the blog-o-sphere each week.
Now that it’s summer here in Utah, I can hear the birds right outside my window welcoming each morning. In fact, a little finch couple have made themselves at home in one of my hanging baskets. (I’m not too sure how I feel about that, but they are quite tiny and very courageous to lay eggs so close to my front door.)
But birds appearing on my front porch aren’t the only place I’m seeing birds these days. They are all over your scrapbooking projects! So today, I thought I would share some of my favorite bird products with you.
