CARDS Blog Challenge: Jan. 2013

We’re back with our second monthly CARDS Blog Challenge! The lucky winner of this challenge will be receiving an amazing prize package from PAPER SMOOCHES valued at over $75.00! Paper Smooches offers darling, high quality stamps, tools and crafting embellishments that are modern, stylish and completely cute. Check out their website to see more of what they have to offer.

Paper Smooches CARDS prize

The winner will receive:
Good Gab sentiment stamp set
Houndstooth background stamp
Bold Blooms stamp set – releases on Jan 1
Hot Spots Large Base die – releases on Feb 1
Notebook Scallop die – releases on Feb 1

Challenge Rules:
1. Leave a comment with a direct link to your card, or submit an image of your card to hannah@northridgepublishing.com by January 14th.
2. Our favorite cards will be featured and the winner of the Paper Smooches prize pack will be announced on January 16th.

This month’s challenge is taken from our January 2013 Style Challenge article. Use this color palette as inspiration to make your own card! Paper Smooches‘ very own Kim Hughes created a gorgeous example card using all the goodies from the prize package to start us off:

I am a crafter. I love creating in all forms: jewelry-making, needlework, book-binding, sewing, etc. However, my passion is paper crafting.

I am the Editor and graphic designer for CARDS magazine. I feel so lucky to work in an industry I love, doing something I am passionate about. When I am not working on the magazine or playing with my three cute kids, you can usually find me with a stamp nearby and paper in hand.

    I love tri-shutter cards. They look so complicated, but really aren’t, and my friends are always so impressed by them! So there are two links for my creation: one is just the front, one is the card opened. I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed creating it!
